Hi Peter, you can buy a purpose build fire fighting aircraft, it's called the Canadair CL415. Far as I know, the TSB hasn't even got on site of the crash yet so to say the cause of the crash was structural would be premature. Best to wait to hear their findings before pointing a finger as to the cause.
