Brad:
Just one hour or so, North of the border between the Carolinas, there is the Asheboro airport, where the Peddycord Foundation for Aircraft Conservation has a small, nice museum. Also, in North-Eastern South Carolina, in Cheraw, there are three Strike-Masters and Jet Provosts (two and one, I think) plus a Bulldog trainer and an unflyable Folland Gnat. I was there about a month ago.
In Charlotte, N.C., there is a good sized museum at the airport.
Saludos!
Tulio
