Just a quick update on some items from FHC. The x Shipley FG-1D that was pulled from Breckinridge a few months ago, supposedly moved into storage up in the northwest...... however, a little birdie reported that the Corsair went west....... you guessed it ....... Westpac at Rialto.... for completion.... Not sure where the F6F was headed. Their P-51D has done engine and taxi tests and probably has flown....... anyone care to take a guess at how much they spent on the Mustang??????? The dollar amount that was told to me (unconfirmed, but a great source), was approximately 3.25 million dollars. Back to Breckinridge, their experience with Flying Heritage was a real headache.... changing the restoration specs on a weekly, in not daily basis, on thread length's for exposed bolts....etc...etc,
I had seen the work in progress on the Corsair while it was at Breckinridge... it was really looking great! Alan
