I got this e-mail today from Ottawa :

Bob, here's a notice for your friends etc.

THE PUBLIC IS INVITED TO ATTEND A SPECIAL TRIBUTE TO WORLD WAR II FIGHTER
PILOTS AT THE CANADA AVIATION MUSEUM IN OTTAWA, MONDAY, AUGUST 4 AT 2:00
P.M. THE EVENT IS BEING HOSTED BY MICHAEL POTTER WHO WILL UNVEIL AND FLY
HIS NEWLY PAINTED SPITFIRE WHICH HAS BEEN RE-DONE IN 421 ROYAL CANADIAN AIR
FORCE (RCAF) SQUADRON MARKINGS.

THIS TRULY "CANADIAN" FIGHTER IS THE ONLY ONE OF ITS KIND IN THE WORLD AND A
TRIBUTE TO ALL CANADIAN WORLD WAR II FIGHTER PILOTS, ESPECIALLY THOSE WHO
FLEW SPITFIRES DURING THE WAR.

THERE IS RESERVE SEATING FOR WORLD WAR II PILOTS AND VETERANS ONLY. THOSE
WWII PILOTS WISHING TO RESERVE SEATS MUST REGISTER BY CALLING 613-741-7970
OR E-MAIL: admin@sussexcapital.com

You wanted to know as early as possible. As for being the "only one of it's kind in the world" well I think that they must mean a Mk XVI painted up in 421 Sq. livery. I didn't write this, just being the messenger.

Cheers
Bob S.
