The P38 wreckage uplifted was not a whole aircraft. Centre section completely burnt out. Outboard wings, booms and tailplane uplifted.

To be used as parts source for restoration of PNG Museums P38 and JArret P38 in Adelaide.

Wreck was subjected to CILHI investigation, site found clean. Kunai grass in this area unpenetrable, only way was with a chopper.
