PBY's dumped in Lake Washington?

Might be an old story and I don't know how accurate it is, but I heard there were some PBY's and PBM's taking up space at Renton Airport that were eventually taken out to the middle of Lake Washington and sank just to get rid of them.
Don't know the time frame(I would think late 50's early sixties) and I've never even heard of Renton Airport before. Might be nothing to the story but it sounds interesting.
