This Mi-8 fuselage was mounted to the frame of a truck by the Mujahideen military commander Ahmad Shah Masood. He later became the head of the Northern Alliance and was assasinated by the taliban shortly before we invaded Afghanistan in 2001.

Apparently they shot down the helicopter during the Russian invasion and the Russians tried unsuccessfuly to retrieve it on more than one occasion. After the Majahideen mounted it to the truck frame, they drove it around and taunted their enemy. It was finally packed with explosives and parked out where their enemy could find it. When they sent a team in to get it, it exploded and killed lots of them. It might have been the Taliban instead of the Russians, I am not 100% sure.
