I think the watson lake a/c your referring to is the same one pictured in the aerial photograph on p.111 of the book "Wings over the Alaska Highway". Tailplanes are underwater, bits and pieces of the fuselage are scattered on shore, directly across from the n/s runway.
Also noted as an aside, Avenger 91171 listed in the registry listed as "status unknown" is parked at the Dawson Creek B.C. airport, and has been for at least the last twelve years. (not moved) Reported airworthy, but canopy reported damaged during recent heavy hailstorm. Owner is reportedly not flying due to expense of accumulating time on radial engine, and plans on using it as his retirement fund...but the reported asking price is many times what the Forest protection avengers went for. I can upload a recent pic of the ac if interested, or refer to the same book p. 79 for a head on shot of it and its owner.
