Hi Eric, in one of the documents I looked at, there was an address for a BC branch of the Canadian Warplane Heritage. The document was about 15 years old so I called CWH for info but no one I talked knew anything about it. Have you ever heard anything of a BC branch? My guess it was the Western Warbirds group who are now disbanded.
Too bad you missed Comox, they have a good collection. The aircraft are outside but they do have a museum building, I believe it's an old theatre, that has a great collection of artifacts and photo's. Not too mention the Y2K project and the old 442 Squadron deHavilland Vampire that was acquired in trade with Bill Lamberton for a CT-114. The Vamp is airworthy, I seen it fly at Whidbey Island NAS a few years back and I believe the museum does fire it up once and a while. Also heard they now have a CT-114 and a CT-133 and have a Lab reserved for them. Maybe someone from Comox can update us.
Thanks for the commemts.
Brian....
