Can anybody see the logic of why the Gloster Meteor IV EE549 (currently on loan to Tangmere Military
Aviation Museum from the RAF Museum) is up for inclusion in the new RAF Museum Milestones of Flight exhibition hall as it broke the world absolute speed record off Sussex in Spet 1946. I have no doubt that Tangmere is anything but an excellent Museum but if that Meteor isn't a Milestone of Flight what is?
