Has MJ627 been rebuilt following its accident at Coventry in 1998?
If so, I wonder if it is at the BBMF for training purposes?
It would be an excellent way to undertake conversion training of a new Pilot

: Visited the BBMF this morning, here's the latest........
:
: The dakota has been repainted. Earth/Green camo on the top
: surfaces and eggshell underneith. Couldn't see the squadr
: on markings due to the way it was parked outside sadly tho
: ugh. It looks great though.
:
: The BBMF also has a new Spitfire, well kind of , parked i
: n the hanger was Two seater spitfire MJ627 (serial may be
: slightly off as it is off the top of my head) although the
: re seemed to be some confusion as to what its purpose was.
:
:
: Spitfire Vb AB910 is back
:
: and finally.....there is an unidentified spitfire being re
: built by one of the mechanics as a personnel project. The
: guide told me that everyone beleived it would be a static
: restoration apart from the guy who is restoring it. I was
: told it wasn't one of the two exhibition flight spitfires
: of which i could see in the hanger.
:
: best regards, steve
