Visited the BBMF this morning, here's the latest........

The dakota has been repainted. Earth/Green camo on the top surfaces and eggshell underneith. Couldn't see the squadron markings due to the way it was parked outside sadly though. It looks great though.

The BBMF also has a new Spitfire, well kind of , parked in the hanger was Two seater spitfire MJ627 (serial may be slightly off as it is off the top of my head) although there seemed to be some confusion as to what its purpose was.

Spitfire Vb AB910 is back

and finally.....there is an unidentified spitfire being rebuilt by one of the mechanics as a personnel project. The guide told me that everyone beleived it would be a static restoration apart from the guy who is restoring it. I was told it wasn't one of the two exhibition flight spitfires of which i could see in the hanger.

best regards, steve
