Tony some years ago when I was with Doug Arnolds Warbirds of Great Britain we had a P51D Mustang which we painted up in grey green RAF camoflage (totally incorrect scheme) and it looked quite good she was named WIDOWMAKER she did the filming for EMPIRE OF THE SUN then went to France with the Jean Salis collection (so I believe) and I am pretty sure it crashed in France. But I must admit it did look different.
Getting back to TFC you have to realise for us it is like working in a goldfish bowl, with people walking by all day and yes they all ways seem to wait until you get in the cockpit or have your hands in some aircrafts bowels before asking some inane question whisch 9 times out of 10 is right in front of them on the data boards, but having said that once in a while we do get the odd snippet of gen that we can use. so you can see our patience does wear thin now and again. But when I think about it if it wsn't for enthusiasts like yourself and other people on this board the our talents would not be needed. Take care
