: The Collings Foundation website states that they have an A
: -36 Apache under restoration in Florida. This a/c is not
: listed on either the WRG Registry or the MustangMustang Su
: rvivor lists. Does anyone know more about this bird?

I do not know any more info on this but it fires the imagination. There were only 4 A-36 aircraft registered postwar and three of those are accounted for. These are of course the A-36/P-51B in Idaho, the USAFM static and the A-36 that was at Legends this year. The fourth was 42-83769 registered N4E and race #15 at the 1947 Thompson Trophy Race. She was a modified A-36 with a 4 bladed propeller and a hopped up Allison. She crashed, bellied in there at the races and the wreck was hauled off to a local yard, disapearing from sight. Perhaps this bird is coming back into the light?
