This is what I seemed to have figured out as well. I've been led to believe that the A-36 wing is not compatible with the P-51B fuselage because the A-36 wing was originally higher on the fuselage due to the Allison being installed. I'm not sure if this is true or not. However if it is, from what I've deciphered, we have John Paul's wing possibly and a new build fuselage. We also have other A-36s parts that he did not use. So more or less, you can't really give this airplane a serial number because it is a new build aircraft just like that TP-51B being built in Idaho. I'm still not exactly sure on this though. At one point I was certain that we had all of the aircraft that John Paul has. Now I'm certain we have bits of that airplane and not the entire thing.

Hopefully the records that Ryan digs out of the black hole will help.

Ryan
