I only had a chance to talk with his assistant Carl about the Lancaster. He mentioned that there were no immediate plans to pull the airframe out of storage, though when it does happen it will of course be restored to flying condition. We'll have to wait to see how much flight time it actually accumulates though :) The museum still has a number of damaged planes on site suffering from the effects of Hurricane Andrew over ten years ago. They quite a back log of restoration work to be done, and Mr. Weeks mentioned that a little boost from the stock market would really help initiate the construction of the museum's next hangar as well.
The Hellcat looks to be a prime candidate for near future restoration since it was in the process of being restored when the hurricane hit in 1992. Also, they said the P-38 will most likely be flying during the next ten or fifteen years. Looking at the condition of the plane, I'd guess they'd better get started on it pretty quick :)
