The photo suggests that this was a very complete airframe. It looks like it has been buried or just pushed into the river. This does not look like a crash from my experience.
In 1967 Steve Simms in his travels noted a Spitfire at Ambala IAF serial (HS)365 code NM. This mystery machine has never been seen since. Could they be connected?
