Did some googling.

Ambala District has three blocks. One of the blocks is a place called Barrar. Barar block is home to both Mullana Village (original crash report) and Rola Heri village (mentioned in the news report). It looks like Mullana is a bigger place , big enough to be marked in all maps. Now to find out how far is Rola Heri from Mullana

Also I have a strong suspicion that the pilot A D'Cruz is the same pilot mentioned here (as U A D'Cruz): -

Though the above says hes a flight lt, another article says he was a Fg Offr at end of 1947 .

Lastly his service number 3296 puts him in the same time period (Mar - Apr 47) as a Pilot Officer
