I?m not administering blame in any way, I?m only thinking about the pros and cons for both options.
I haven?t been to an airfield yet that hasn?t got a grass strip or an area covered with grass, suitable for landing, along both sides of the paved runway and in that case CFR wouldn?t be different.
If accidents and, especially incidents, aren?t analysed nothing is learned from it, right!
Maybe it?s not my place though?
