I have been thumbing through old copies of Flypast the Oct 1990 issue reports that Stirling wreckage from a 1944 incident, was recovered from a dyke near Bassingham - Lincolnshire.
Was the identity ever proved, what remains were recovered and were are they now?
Was FAA Sea Fury TF956 recovered from the sea, following it crash in 1989(ish).
Wereabouts of FAA Sea Fury WG655.
Thanks, Tony
