Some very good points made there Tony. It has to be said that this side of the pond, there are few static restorers that I know of that have a decent amount of money!

I have had airworthy (or potentially)parts in the past and am quick to pass these on to the flyboys who can make much better use of them than I can.

My dream is a Hurricane built mostly from people's 'rubbish' or scrap. It will be very original (but will be a very complex composite as I have said before!.

It would be nice in Nicolson's colours I agree! We had the sheer pleasure of LF363 in GN-A colours flying over our Nicolson memorial dedication in 1990.

Hurricanes (and other warbird aircraft come to think of it) deserve to be in the air. They do tend (as time goes by) to migrate towards being less 'original' as time goes by. Even dear old Last of the Many PZ865 has few parts I'm sure that can be traced back to 1944. But that is the (small) price we pay to be thrilled by these beautiful aircraft. I am a big girls blouse who readily admits to a tear in his eye at the sound and sight of 12 Spitfires wheeling overhead at Duxford Flying Legend airshows....pure magic!

Regards to all, keep recovering and rebuilding!
