Well Guys & Gal,

Pete Rushen is a very very nice man, performing a very difficult task for us (though I'm quite sure he enjoys it very much too)

In 2003 lets put our collective supreme efforts and a grand resolve together in 2003 to help him and TFC get hold of some of the serious bits and pieces which they require to get their unique flying Beaufighter project back into the environment in which she belongs..... THE AIR!!!

Remember the sad recent tale of the poor Vulcan. We may never see her in the skies again, but we CAN see and hear a Beaufighter once more, pulled along by a fabulous pair of Bristol?s I may add. ;-)

So lets get out there and find another decent Hercules 216 power egg and a prop or two as well. They must be out there somewhere?

Or even better a pair of older marks.

FYI: You'd be amazed and surprised at what you can still find on an old remote small Scottish farm.
I one met a very nice senior Scottish farmer who had the following in his sheds: Three Bristol Hercules engines, A Merlin, A Griffon 58, an Alvis Leonides, a RR Meteor, an Avon, A Corsair drop tank, a pair of Vickers Warwick mainwheels, a pair of Beaufighter mainwheels, A pair of late mark Spitfire canopies and oh yes.... A complete Hawker Hunter in his front garden! What an old boy he was. Sadly, in the end the Hercules engines were unsuitable.

This was in the past four years, so there MUST be bits out there still tucked away.

Put an advert in your local farming press or newspaper. You never know?

I am 38 years old and I will not be happy until I see and hear a Beaufighter fly. (Preferably under sleeve valve power)

PS: Don't expect any assistance or hope from HLF, Tony Bliar or any his fellow incompetent accomplices, who continue to run down and destroy our fair land.
