TFC Beaufighter

Thanks for the interest that you guys show in the project, that's what drives us along.
Because of the problem of engines & props. we did look at turning it into a Mk.II. From a powerplant point of view this would have been easy with our collective experience gained on Spits., Hurricanes & Lancaster. The difficulty came about with the conversion of the centre section mount assembly & besides we would have been departing from the classic Beau.
The path at the moment is to go with the Hercules 216 mounted in a modified engine bearer which will put the powerplant about 4" further forward.
The project was put back by Kym going off to build a Fw-190 & a Me-262 but we are getting back on track with the manufacture of a rudder, ailerons & elevators. The coming year will also see effort put back into continuing the rebuild of the tailplane.
As for a New Year wish! Would welcome contact with guys who have prop. blades. Bristol Freighter or Hastings would do fine, but Beau would be better.
