Cees- I started reading FlyPast at the age of 12 and have read every single issue since. I don't think there is a desire to ignore in anyway the activities of the 'diggers'-
indeed if you looked at an issue a couple of months ago you would have seen the remains of a Wellington IV on the first page. The sinple facts are that the isn't anywhere near the level of activity in the U.K that the once was .
On the front of underground burials - the magazine covered in detail the recovery of German aircraft components
buried in the U.S and indeed the activities of the X Plane
hunters in the desert. The magazine I am sure will cover any item which is newsworthy but as your probably aware
items like the search for buried Lancaster's in the U.K
often turn up nothing ! Is it sensible to publish more and more 'maybe's' or go with the stuff that actually turns up?
The editor of any magazine is who calls the shots in terms of what gets published - yes the public does have an influence in what goes in a magazine . In the case of FlyPast it's the most successful magazine of it's type in the U.K in terms of sales so maybe the public does decide whether they like it or not by buying it !
