Earlier attempts at introducing this type of legislation sited potential use of ex-military aircraft for terrorist activity. Well, alas, the terrorists did come to the USA....and what type of aircraft did they chose to use? This clearly has nothing to do with Sept.11th, or based on earlier arguments, all airliners would have to be rendered unserviceable due to the potential threat national security. It's time some common sense prevailed on this issue.
