American warbirds to be permanently grounded/Destroyed?

From barnstormers.....

I am trying to get more information on this Bill. Personally, i think it's impossible, there are just too many veterans in Commitee to let the warbird element go through. Also, i imagine, there are a few Republican voting warbird owners, with a lot of money and clout, who sure as hell, won't let this go through , without a fight.

The reprecussions are just awful. No warbird shows, unemployment and specialist skills lost.

But, if worst comes to the worst, can you base your aircraft , in Canada, Mexico or the caribbean, and keep them flying, witout the income from airshows, or fly them in the US under a "flag of convenience?"

What the hell kind of terrorist would want to use a prop warbird as a weapons delivery system. Jets I can understand, Crop dusters I think would have been more useful to a terrorist.

I will post the bill proposal, when I can find it.

ATTENTION ALL AVIATION ENTHUSIASTS ? ANNOUNCEMENT!! Update to yesterday's post, i have found out the BILL Numbers and unfortunatly I have also found out that the bills have passed both the house and senate and are now in commitee and they are our last line of defense on this issue.I also have found out that there is an addendum made to where the government will re-imburse any material or aircraft take at a "fair" price but what good will it do when there are no aircraft remaining?? There seems to be some confusion on the bill numbers which are as follows S 1155 section 921 and/or S 1416 section 1062 formerly HR 4205.
