An emotive subject as ever.
I wish I had not seen the photos, the chaps shoe humanised the loss.
I suppose the bottom line is that if the wreckage is put up for sale and someone buys it and restores it then they are happy to own it.
The people with the money to restore them and guts to fly them don't seem to care, so why should we? Especially if the pilot's relatives don't mind.
I would not condemn them or ever choose to, if I did I would be a hypocrite as my memorial Hurricane project uses parts from WW2 losses.
Originality of the product is another (emotive and) totally different issue. That is solely down to the individual who owns it. A flying Spitfire is exactlt that....FLYING!
Please lets not start another slanging match between the owner and non owner enthusiasts chaps....there is room for everyone in the wonderful world of warbirds.
