It may be that nodody got fat that is usualy true but how many got ripped off.Restos running on and on until the owner has no option but to pull the aircraft out and go home.I admit this dosen't happen all the time but it does happen.Aircraft prices are inflated way over their real value.I will make a part for a P40 and give it to a customer next thing you see it for sale at a fantastic markup.It realy sticks out with projects that are handed around they go from one owner to the next without any work being done to them.But the price just keeps going up and up.
As far as quotes or estimates go you are wasteing your time unles you want a P40 and go to pioneer aero who know exactly how much it will cost.Because they have built that aircraft several times before.Yet even their prices are doomed to go up as a lot of the people building parts for them no longer wish to do so.
