Cees. The work of the Missing Research & Enquiry Units of the RAF (in particular No 1 MREU)is available in a very limited form at the Public Record Office where sample reports of typical cases can be found. I have copies of most of these, but they are not even the tip of an enormous iceberg. However, not sure that AHB hold the actual report files which I think may have been shredded. There were of course 40,000 RAF missing at the end of WW2 but every RAF Casualty File still exists in the MOD Depository at Hayes, managed by the RAF Personnel Management Centre at Innsworth, and these generally have all the details that are known. I suspect these are what you want to see, Cees? If you get anywhere it would certainly be interesting, but the RAF will slam the door in your face and you'll get nowhere. Perhaps with some justification they are regarded as containg sensitive personal information, but if you do have any luck then let us know! A lot of useful historical stuff in there. Andy Saunders.
