CASA 2111 still at Duxford - as far as I know there are no immediate plans to restore it. Most of their recent restoration efforts have been on the B24 Dougan which is now externally complete & looks magnificient compared to how she looked when she arrived. Presumably focus willl soon switch to British aircraft for the new extended superhangar.

Best Regards

: Hi all,
: Have just been sorting my photo albums out and have a few
: questions.
:
: When I visited Elvington a few years ago, I took a picture
: of a Mosquito which bore the legend "The Spirit of Val".
: Sorry, don't know the s/n but I remember having a conversa
: tion with one of the museum staff who claimed that she was
: being rebuilt to fly. Now in the Aeroplane Monthly Airsho
: w & Museum guide for 2002, the Mosquito is not listed (nor
: does the Halifax appear). Is she still there and will she
: fly again?
:
: Can anybody confirm if the Hurricane, on display at Cosfor
: d (LF738), is in fact a genuine aircraft.
: I ask as the radiator grill, inside the intake appears to
: be fake. Also the undercarriage legs and doors, do not loo
: k to be be the real thing.
:
: What happening with the CASA 2111 (or is it a Heinkel) hel
: d at Duxford by the IWM. If it is ever rebuilt, will Jumo
: or Merlin engines be used?
:
: Thanks in anticipation,
:
: Tony
