One thing that does seem strange to me about some of these posts is that there is a lot of flak about having sent the Hampden nose out to Canada. The Canadian project was the first one that had any chance of producing a complete aircraft and they have done a fantastic job with it (although it would be nice to see it go back inside). Having one finished item is much better than lots of piles of bits. The IWM was took a lot of flak the Halifax nose which they would not release to the YAM so I guess you can't win. The UK has probably benefited far more from the generosity of other countries towards our aviation heritage than we have given in return so less of the sour grapes.
