Hi Paul.
PV202 was supposed to have been bought by Historic Flying at Duxford for restoration to original Supermarine Type 509 specs...with the big back seat bubble canopy, and then possibly painting in it's genuine IAC markings......which I can't wait to see.
The Mk XVI has got to be TD248 that "The Boss" of HF, Karel Bos, busted earlier this year.
AA are probably re-jigging the fuselages and wings for them.
Under the agreement that HF have with Arco.....Arco are responsible for test flying and certification etc of Spitfires rebuilt by HF.
JG891 has been under restoration with in GB with HF for about two years now.
Alec Wilson owns MD338 at least. The other Mk VIII possibilities are JG484 ; MD228 and MV321.
Speculation ?
Not my bag mate.
