Hi All,
I spent most of Sunday with the Collings Foundation B-17 and B-24 and I was talking with some of the guys. They told me that the FAA has issue a new AD for the wing bolts and because of the cost it might appear that at least half of the US flying 17s will be grounded till they can get the repair done.
It looks like both of the CAF birds are the first effected by this. They told me that the guys at Texain Raiders do'nt think they will be back in the air for two years. Also their has been no work on Doc Hospers 17 and it appears to be grounded.
Cheers Rob
