Polish/German Exchange. Also 'your Dream exchange'

On this board Tony recently alluded to the fact that the German Berlin Deutsches Technikmuseum wanted to negotiate some of its exhibits back (of WW1 aircraft) from Poland. He said what was on the Polish musuems wants list: PZL P.24, Halifax or Mustang (with Polish History) . He said that the German Govt was willing to exchange a jet (not specified) or something with a government with a questionable human rights record (again not specified) to help facilate a deal..

Now... Here is a fact that may be relevant!

There is an original PZL P.24G in Turkey!

I leave it up to you to decide if this was the unmentioned country!

I would have thought to get anything out of Turkey a Spitfire would be a good exchange seeing as not one original one is in that country. And also seeing as how many served..

So the second point is whats is your DREAM Exchange Deal..

I would swap a Spit with the Turkish Govt to get the PZL, this would give you bargaining power with either the Polish or German govt. But I would bargian with the Poles to retrieve some of the original WW1 aircraft from them.. They are interesting but do not nessarily have a particular 'Polish' history..

Now with an original: LVG, Albatros, DFW or even Camel etc image what you could exchange on the open market
