I concur completely. If it is placed on an aircraft that originally never had nose art, then I agree that it should not be there. In the case of that particular BT-13, I must agree on that as well... its far beyond cartoon level and it borderline photorealistic.

: I remember hearing a story a while back about a bomber tha

: tacky and unathentic. Have you ever had that problem wit
: h any of the CF airplanes?

We drew some criticism from the Golden Girl campaign as some thought the commercialism was a bit too much to bear as we were being sponsored that year by Schlitz Brewing Co.. In reality, that sponsorship alone probably extended the tour for at least a few more years than intended as the expenses from the initial restoration were a severe burden.

Most of the other CF aircraft are pretty authentic to a certain scheme... the F-4 is in Gen. Ritchies colors without many changes... the B-17 is in the colors of the "Nine O Nine"... many of the small aircraft are in colors that were original to the type. The B-25 was really the only odd duck being painted as the "Hoosier Honey"... a more or less made up scheme. Recently being painted as Tondelayo, I am interested to see what many peoples impression is being that the original Tondelayo was a B-25D with a painted over noseglass and ours is a B-25N with a clear glass nose.

Honestly it was an overheard comment, and I have no backing to it. If I do find it, I will post accordingly. The only reason why I cited it here in the first place was due to the fact I heard about it through several unrelated non-liberal sources as second-hand information. Apologies.
