My two cents worth:
What happened in the past happened whether or not someone is happy with that fact.
The same controversy surrounds the swastika applied to restored/replica Luftwaffe aircraft.
I have a real problem when an individual or organization wants to suppress historical accuracy in the name of political correctness.
Gee, let' see. I think I'll be offended by any aircraft bearing a Communist Red Star because they were a bunch of mass murderers and by any aircraft with English colors because they slaughtered my ancestors at Culloden Moor.
Ridiculous, isn't it?
It's really unbelievable that "mature" adults have a problem with a nude cartoon female. Have you seen what's on t.v lately?
My opinion is that those that are complaining probably need a good enema and should deal with the world as it is and get on with life instead of whining about how they think it should be.
End of rant!
By the way, I love the paint job on the Collings B-24.
It has personality. That, apparently, scares some people.
