I think FlyPast is just about as close to getting it right as you can get. They have the right balance of lots of news, restoration features and historical aviation articles.
Warbirds Worldwide was excellent if rather expensive, and so too is/was Classic Wings Downunder. I used to snap this up, but then dear old W H Smith decided to discontinue stocking it.
There are still some warbird stories that seem to slip the net, and I think this is probably because the tendency is to concentrate on activity in the UK and North America. For example, I don't recall ever seeing an article anyway about the discovery and restoration of the Polikarpovs that ended up at Wanaka - please correct me if I'm wrong.
