The story on the Exchange deal didn't come from any official German source. <<<<<<<<<<<
The story runs, that the Luftwaffe were out to grab the PZL-24 to exchange back into Krackow,in return for the infamous collection, or part therof. The Deal centered around RF-4's I'm informed, and Alpha Jets. The deal obviously didn't happen.
The Good Prof. Dr. Dr. was on Polish TV , poor sod, trying to justify why they wanted the aircraft back in Germany. He told me...."Tony, it was very hard" lolololol No, really?
It is difficult, but then again, as David made the very good point, we'd all prefer our warbirding to be ethical
and fair exchanges to take place.
Now if I could only find a Halibag and a Polish hurricane... Oh, and A PZL-24 in Romania, or maybe buried at Argos?
