to be honest Gareth I think it is the reliability (if you can get one, then get it in airworthy condition and maintain it!) of the Sabre that has put people off the type.
It would be interesting to see how many people would 'bite' if a Flugwerk/Herb Tischler type project was started up by someone.
Now the Merlin and Hornet would be a different story. I suppose you could say 'watch this space'!
