My trip down south.

I just returned to Washington from New Zealand and Antartica.
I wasn't able to make it to Wanaka or the North Island, but I did manage to visit the NZAFM at Wigram and the Ferrymead Aeronautical Collection. If you ever wanted to see how a Mosquito is constructed, stop by their hanger.
I also bought the P-40 book "The whole nine Yards". I highly recommend it.
The only warbird in Antartica is the C-121 "Pegasus", BuNo.131644. It crashed in October of 1970 and has been pretty well stripped. I didn't have time to take pictures, as we parked on the opposite end of the runway and I had to help download the plane.
