:I've done that! I was held as a Prisoner of War at Chanute AFB in Rantoul, Ill for 6 months back in 1992. In my humble opinion, the only good thing to come out of there is Interstate 57 South! I also lived in Minot, North Dakota for a few years. I loved it there but it was nearly as cold as Antartica!
The C-17 performed wonderfully. We set a low temperature record for the plane.
