OK but from what date???? were they Spits transferred to India before 1947??
I also think the Hurricane was out of service BEFORE 1947 anyway and only used for Instruction purposes.. Also all other Indian Hurricanes incl. Peter Vacher and V6846 that was supposed to be at Patna (according to Leslie Hunt in 1974) did not have IAF numbers
