The Lincoln/Shackleton undercarrige situation is correct for the BBMF Lanc, I understood this was well known, as it is frequently mentioned in written histories of PA474...?
Can't say I've heard the York wing story though, if true I would have thought that it would have accurred just prior to BBMF flight service, so that would mean 30 years ago, and would mean she's flown for longer with York wings than with her original Lanc wings..!!
If this is true would this have affected BAe's design for the renew of the main spar undertaken by BAe/BBMF a couple of years ago...???
