Scale Aircraft Modelling book on Merlin Engined Spitfires- the one with the green cover - in list of users it lists USSR as users of c120 Spit Vs and c1150 Spit IXs - it then goes on to quote the rumour that some may have been passed on to the Chinese - but not specific about Communists or Nationalists
