For Luftwaffe aircraft, we're mostly talking aircraft which have not been seen or heard in the air for 50 years. And the majority of us don't live where a surviving example might be found in a local museum. The post-war scrappings of aircraft from all sides nearly erased all traces of aircraft from the period. I'm grateful that at least some allied aircraft survived at all. Now were are in a period where technology and skill can resurrect the other planes once gone forever.
