Correct I have read FlyPast for about the same length Cees and yes the are many potential recoveries that go very quiet. The Catalina's and Sunderland's are all deep water recoveries and as such the main reason that they have not been recovered is cost. The Whitley idea is quite a new one but parts have been scattered on the hills of Scotland for many years-indeed a friend of mine recovered the Whitley parts which are now on display at the Midland Air Museum
on loan from the RAFM. I hope something comes of it even if it's just a matter of getting all the parts in one place !
Lastly regards the Defiant I believe this was supposedly in 50 feet of water in Loch Ness but nothing more was ever heard of it which is strange considering the attention that the Loch has attracted over the last few years.
