C'mon guys HFL can never win here. If they label it PV202 it is 'in your face' to some. If they go for IAC 161 they are trying to disguise it to others.
I know HFL are very aware of the sensitivity aspect here. Would you have preferred that the aircraft was 'baled' for the smelter as was proposed by a former owner in the emotive days after the accident? I suspect not.
The aircraft is being rebuilt to full Type 509 specification with the 'ugly duckling' rear canopy and will be liveried in the full 'apple green' IAC scheme as 161. One could imagine that this aircraft is destined more for training purposes and the personal use of the patrons rather than the market place.
Just a personal view. PeterA
