It will be very interesting to see what happens at Hendon but I have to say that I think it will be a shame if improvements at Hendon are at a cost to Cosford. Cosford is an excellent museum in its own right and it does not deserve to have its star exhibits pillaged.

For instance Cosford currently houses one of the best collections of axis aircraft in the world. They are allready faced with the loss of the Me262 to Hendon. Against that Hendon currently displays a training version of the FW190 (not at all representative of aircraft that might have met the bombers) and an Me109G in North African markings that really has little relevance to Bomber command. On top of that there was allready a 109 on display at Hendon. I think that both these aircraft would be better off at Cosford as part of a defined axis collection.

The liberator is also a star of the Cosford collection and would be terribly unfair to pilfer it for Hendon. The bomber command hall should be more representative of the RAF. The B17 is fine but I think the B25 should definitely be in representative RAF markings. I Think it would also benefit enormously from a rebuild as its condition seems to be fairly poor. However the same could be said of the Beaufort and the Beaufighter.

Rant over.
