Being Danish the Fokker D.XXI would also be favourite of mine as a replica project. It has a lot of things in its favour as such: (1) relatively simple structure (welded steel tube fuselage - of which a complete one still exists in Denmark - and wooden wings) and relatively simple systems as well (fixed undercarriage). It seems to me that lack of a suitable engine could pose a problem: The Dutch and Danish aircraft had, if I recall correctly, an 830 hp Bristol Mercury VIII and the Finnish aircraft an 825 hp P&W R-1535 Twin Wasp Junior. Not too many of those engines would appear to be around today and I cannot off the top of my head think of a suitable replacement. Which engine was planned for the airworthy Dutch replica?
