"Hendon Buffalo" More titbits and argy bargy

In the new issue of Classic Wings their is an article on Chris Provost of Vintage Aircraft Co in California. He is the owner of the parts of 3 Buffalos' ex Australia.

Anyway, their is a paragraph on the Dutch Air Force Museums attempt to get one of these a few years ago. Apparanetly they were to offer a Jet Fighter in return, but couldn't come up with the goods and all went quite.. Chris is now selling the Buffalos as a package and thinks they could be restored as a batch aka. Texas Airplane Factory Oscars and F-3's. So getting economies of sacle etc.. Anyway the magazine says 'A major European aviation musuem has already indicated its desire to acquire one of these machines'.

Well no prizes for guessing who that is!!!!

Also a bit or Magazine argy bargy in Flypast August 2002 over this 'Henry Hall (who is responsible for all exhibits within the Museum) was keen to dispel reports in other magazines of a Brewster Buffalo being built for the museum: "The fact that there may be parts around isn't enough to persuade me that we must go hammer and tongs to acquiere them with a view to restoring an example of the type. We have 'juicier targets' in terms of restoration and conservation".

Also. Classic Wings says 2 other complete Buffalo's, one is obviously BW-392 but is the other one the Finish Copy??
